Research. Empower. Transform.

We link knowledge to action, ensuring every child and teacher has the chance to thrive.

Since 1993, the Women Educational Researchers of Kenya (WERK) has championed the power of knowledge to transform lives. As a not-for-profit organization rooted in integrity, inclusion, and excellence, WERK turns research into action — shaping policies, inspiring advocacy, and driving real change in education. From early learning to teacher development and gender equality, our work reaches classrooms and communities across Kenya, empowering girls, boys, women, and men to learn, lead, and thrive in an equitable society.
